WE DO
Guided by reason
The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) data reveals a concerning trend in youth crime in New South Wales (NSW), particularly in the Far West region. An increase in young people being proceeded against by NSW Police underscores the urgency for effective intervention strategies. The Winmarra Foundation’s programs can play a vital solution in addressing this issue.

Winmarra Emerging Leaders Program.
The Winmarra Emerging Leaders Program is a ten-month youth empowerment initiative designed to inspire, mentor, and guide young people toward personal growth and skill development. By providing guidance, support, and positive role models, the program offers constructive alternatives for both at-risk and high-achieving youth.
In regions like the Far West, where youth crime rates are rising, early intervention through mentorship plays a vital role in steering young individuals away from negative influences and toward positive life choices.
The program is divided into four phases.
1
Connection Camp
A three-day on-country experience to set personal goals and foster cultural connection
2
Staying Connected
Ongoing mentorship through a digital platform.
3
Reward Weekend
A transformative Sydney experience focused on leadership and career opportunities
4
Mini Summer Camp
A six-day program featuring industry specialists to nurture participants’ dreams
Impact.
The Emerging Leaders Program is more than an initiative; it is a platform for transformation.
By combining tailored mentorship, skill-building activities, and cultural celebration, the program empowers participants to envision and achieve a brighter future, becoming role models and leaders in their community.
